'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League comeback

Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has diminished and he is prepared to discuss a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is currently halfway through the four-year contract he signed when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the offseason of 2023.

The experienced forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German side, contributing them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the maiden major honor of his distinguished career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has recently stated that he would like to see Kane go back to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he earlier was, and would certainly consider prolonging his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he commented.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so goes and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different chances and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the speediest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, securing the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had avoided him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would react after ending his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Ongoing success with Bayern Munich is Kane's top focus
  • The chance of a Premier League return has considerably decreased
  • New contract talks could begin in the coming future
  • Kane's outstanding goal-scoring form continues to astound
